Construction is underway for the Residential Treatment Unit (RTU) and Reception, Classification, Diagnostic Center (RCDC) at the Department of Corrections. Located in Chicago, the RCDC processes new admissions into the Department of Correction and detainees going to and from court for all six branches of the Circuit Courts of Cook County.

When completed, this project will provide a new 283,000 square foot, state of the art, Residential Treatment Unit (RTU) and Reception, Classification, Diagnostic Center (RCDC) at the Department of Corrections. Construction began in January 2011 and is expected to be complete by January 2013 after which furniture, fixtures, medical and other equipment will be installed. Occupancy is targeted for May 2013.
