On February 16, the winners of the 2015 Chicago Innovation Awards joined President Preckwinkle for a roundtable discussion about their innovations and the positive impact they could have for the County and our entire region. President Preckwinkle noted that all of the 204 winners since 2002 are still in business today. After President Preckwinkle’s opening remarks, co-founder Tom Kuczmarski explained the Awards, then each person had time to explain their innovation.
Questions were raised not only about each innovation, but how their ideas may have a positive impact on such items as health care, jobs, criminal justice, education, and infrastructure improvements. Bureau and Department Heads from Cook County also attended the round table to exchange ideas and perspectives.
