$2.5 Million BUILT in Cook Loan to build new store at Diversey and Pulaski in Chicago Joined by Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Cook County Commissioner Arroyo and other dignitaries, Cermak Fresh Foods opened today. This 70,000-square-foot building used to be a Marshall Field's warehouse. Now, it will be a grocery store that will create jobs and be an anchor to the community. True to its name, the brand new store will bring fresh food to this and other nearby communities. Its close proximity to the expressway allows it to be an anchor that can spur further economic growth. In addition to the BUILT in Cook loan, this project also qualified for a Class 8 tax incentive. The BUILT in Cook and our tax incentive programs provide the Cook County business community with important public investment tools designed to stimulate economic development and job growth.
