TP - February 9th Event

President Preckwinkle, joined by Commissioner Steele and Alderman Burnett at the February 9th Event.

President Preckwinkle joined Commissioner Steele and Alderman Walter Burnett at the February 9, 2017 evening community workforce meeting on the Central Campus Health Center. This was one in a series of community briefings.  As you may already know, there is a 7.5% local area impact hiring goal – the location defined as a 3 mile radius of the project site on this project. For more than 180 years, Cook County has provided a safety net for health care in the greater Chicago region. Our Mission is to deliver health services with dignity regardless of a patient’s ability to pay, partnering with communities and providers to enhance public health, and advocate for policies that promote the physical and mental well being of the people of Cook County. Building this new ambulatory care facility is more than replacing old buildings. It will enable the health system to offer a modern patient experience that is competitive in contemporary healthcare markets for years to come.
