A_IMG_20170530_101428815_HDROn May 30, the Housing Authority of Cook County (HACC) hosted a rally to preserve affordable housing programs and healthcare at the new Armond King Senior High Rise Apartment Building, rehabilitated with HOME Partnership financing.  View video.
HACC Executive Director Richard Monocchio was joined by Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, state Sen. Daniel Biss (9th), representatives from the offices of U.S. Sens. Richard Durbin and Tami Duckworth, and Illinois Housing Development Authority Executive Director Audra Hamernik. Also present were HACC staff and residents from the Armond King Apartments, residents from HACC public housing, advocates from Housing Action Illinois, Connections for the Homeless and Joining Forces.
