Panduit was started in 1955 in the Chicago Southland, and grew into a major international high tech manufacturing company. Today, they employ over 5,000 people in 112 companies. Their international corporate headquarters remains in Tinley Park. The scope of their work expands from small to large companies, offering everything from data solutions, to building enterprise infrastructures, and growing an international global supply chain. Panduit is also playing a key role in building its long term workforce supply chain by contributions to the Southworks Engineering and Robotics Olympics. President Preckwinkle handed out the awards at the Robotics Olympics last April and really enjoyed sharing the time with students, their families and mentors, and talking with the corporate sponsors.
Like the other Big Shoes ward winners, Mi-Jack Products and Sterling, this award recognizes innovate and successful companies in the Southland and helps our region become aware of the strength of manufacturing. For more information on Panduit, go to their website: http://www.panduit.com/en/home
