Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant

Cook County received a $12.6 million Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Energy to provide assistance in the form of grants and low interest loans for suburban Cook County municipalities, businesses and residences. The Department of Environmental Control administers the program in partnership with the Bureau of Economic Development. The Cook County Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant supports the following activities as shown below:
